Which is a better buy between the Honor 8x and Oppo A7?
While both looks almost exactly the same, the Honor 8x is more striking in person due to its gradient hue variant. The same can be said up front due to its smaller bezels. It’s a game of notch for the two with the Oppo A7 having a teardrop type. However, details and colors will be better on the 1080p display of Honor.
Similar to the comparison of Oppo A7 and Huawei Y9 2019, Kirin 710 takes this one. As for Oppo’s “Hyperboost” technology, we still have to test it out whether its effectiveness is in play.
The main camera will go to the Honor 8X featuring wide 20MP f1.8 + 2MP depth sensor. While the selfie camera is anyone’s game with both midrange phones sporting 16MP f2.0, however, Honor is capable of capturing more with its wide-angle feature.
Where Oppo A7 takes the lead by a huge margin is the battery at 4230mAh. Combine it with its 720p display and you’re basically connected the whole day.
The Honor 8x is available for Php12,990 while the Oppo A7 is estimated to arrive around Php13,990. To conclude, it’s a tough match for Oppo A7. Maybe at a slashed price, it could be competitive.
