Mid-year continues to be an interesting spot for smartphones, as OPPO announces that it will release its new A Series in the Philippines. Dubbed as OPPO A9 2020 and A5 2020, these mid-range smartphones cater to the mid-range market of photography and gaming. These two phones will launch on September 19 with a new endorser.

OPPO A9 2020 and A5 2020 Features
With OPPO being the market share leader in Q2 of 2019, the company is giving the Filipinos high-end phones that they deserve. Both the A9 2020 and A5 2020 come with Snapdragon 665 chipset, a massive 5000mAh battery, and four main cameras to use.
In the case of A9 2020, the main camera is headlined by a 48MP sensor. While the rest of the sensors were not mentioned, we expect them to be ultrawide, depth, and a telephoto or Time-of-Flight sensor(ToF). Video recording will support 4K resolution while hinting at video stabilization support. Photo-wise, there will be Ultra Night Mode 2.0 and several portrait styles. The handset will also support up to 128GB storage paired with 8GB RAM.
As for A5 2020, it still carries four cameras, albeit with a 12MP main sensor. While the rest of the specs remain the same, the RAM stays put at 4G with up to 128GB internal storage and the selfie cam is said to be 8MP.
Based on the official teaser image, the new A-series will feature a waterdrop notch, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and two colors — Blue and Green.
