OPPO recently announced its new sub-brand made especially for the Indian market. Hands-on photos of the newest OPPO Realme 1 were also spotted a few days ago. Now, OPPO finally unveiled the first Realme smartphone. This new handset will be exclusively available through Amazon India.

The OPPO Realme 1 features a 6-inch full HD+ display with 2160 x 1080p resolution and comes in 84.75 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio P60 clocked at 2GHz. It arrives in three variants –  3GB, 4GB, or 6GB of RAM. The 3GB of RAM model is paired with 32GB of internal storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM, and 128GB internal storage for 6GB RAM variant.

Going to the camera department, the OPPO Realme 1 sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and an 8MP selfie snapper. As per OPPO, it also has its own AI Beauty 2.0 feature that offers 296-point facial recognition.

Unlike OPPO’s recent release, this handset doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor but it has a face unlock feature though. According to OPPO, its face unlock can open the smartphone in just 0.1 seconds. Moreover, this device also features AR stickers. This handset runs on ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It comes with a 3,410 mAh battery pack and is optimized by AI Battery Management feature. In addition to that, it also comes with an AI Board assistant.

As of the moment, the 6GB variant of the Realme 1 will go on sale in India. The selling will take place on May 25th at 12pm on Amazon India. According to the company, the other variants will be available for purchase after a month.
