Reasons why people will not buy Apple’s iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus

Is Apple’s iPhone 8 and 8 Plus still worth it to buy?

Amid being released alongside the iPhone X, people are no doubt paying less attention to the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Wondering why? We listed below the possible reasons why people won’t buy the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

  • Apple iPhone X vs Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Apple iPhone X Philippine price is P54k

1. iPhone X (10) new features

Its clear that Apple’s iPhone 8 and 8 Plus offers a wide gap between their specs and features difference compared to the iPhone X. While the iPhone X is rumored to cost around P54,000, people could choose it more than the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus that are expected to cost around P40,000 and up due to its features.

2. Possible iPhone 9 next year

Upgrade is just equivalent to change. Like some are expecting the Galaxy S9 next year, some people are expecting the iPhone 9 as well. Since the iPhone X has already an OLED screen, people expect a more beautiful screen next year. Of course, people might be waiting for more functional features too.

3. Cheaper iPhone 7 price

The launch of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X unsurprisingly caused the decrease in price of their predecessors. Now people could avail more cheaper iPhones this year. You can check out the updated price list of Apple’s iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, SE for 2017 right here.

4. P40,000 budget alternative smartphones

For Apple fanatics, its a choice that they could avail cheaper iPhones now. On the other hand, Android consumers could buy more high end devices with their P40k-50k alloted budget for the “not what I expected” iPhone 8. Among those devices are the Note 8, LG V30, OnePlus 5, Xiaomi Mi 6 and more.

That said, Philippine retail stores like WidgetCity offers the iPhone 8 at P50,000 along with a pair of AirPods. Same goes to the iPhone 8 Plus at P60,000. Lazada was also spotted offering the smartphones with iPhone 8 (256GB) at P51,399. The iPhone 8 Plus (64GB) at P49,100 while the 256GB model at P57,399.

However, these reasons are only basis for those people confused on whether would they buy the device. The decision is still up to the people.
