Based on leaked renders, the phone is rumored to be the so-called Redmi Note 8T. Design-wise, it maintains all the design cues of the budget Redmi Note 8, including the quad-camera setup. The difference, however, is that the 8T variant features NFC.
Redmi Note 8T With NFC Surfaces
The renders reveal three colors of the supposed Redmi Note 8T — gradient blue/purple, gradient white, and black/gray. There are four main cameras, which could very likely be the 48MP, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth, 2MP macro. Aside from the Redmi branding, the capacitive fingerprint scanner on the back is present. It’s weird for Xiaomi to release a phone with a slightly different name just for NFC inclusion. That said, we expect a few tweaks in specs if it will ever be released for the public.
