Surely, you’ve heard about Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone – the Galaxy X. It was rumored to launch soon, however, it’s now reportedly not going to launch anytime now.
According to the report, the reason of the delay is said to be related to the fine-tuning of the user experience as well as the durability. Salman Saeed says that, “they [phone manufacturers] haven’t really cracked the material science right now to produce electrodes that can repeatedly withstand bending and folding.”
Just a month ago, Samsung’s CEO provided a little more info about the mentioned smartphone, saying that it’s no gimmick – it boiled the excitement for the arrival of the said smartphone.
Koh also didn’t reveal any details regarding the foldable smartphone at that time but promised to tell more information when the right time comes.
