Samsung reportedly testing Android Go-powered device

Rumors have it that Samsung is now testing out the stock Android on a low-end smartphone. According to the latest report from SamMobile, the device might come out in the Indian market first, then to be followed by several markets later on.

Based on the recently leaked benchmark listing, the device with SM-J260G codename runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box  and only has 1GB RAM. In addition, the motherboard is listed as “universal7570_go.”

The second one is the device with the SM-J260F codename. This Android Go handset is aimed to be launched in United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Caucasus Countries, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, France and Poland, on the other hand, the SM-J260M will be dedicated to Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Panada and Paraguay.

No further information has been leaked but we’ll keep you posted.
