Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor
It was confirmed that Samsung will be working along with Qualcomm for the next high-end Snapdragon chip and could be utilized first by Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S8.
In a recent leak from China, the Snapdragon 835 will jump to octa-core processor from Snapdragon 820/821 quad-core.
Moreover, the GPU will be upgraded to Adreno 540(previously 530) and add support to Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.1 providing data security.
Snapdragon 835 will be available commercially in the first quarter of 2017 with the Galaxy S8 in line.
Unofficially announced, is the Snapdragon 660 that will feature an octa-core processor with Adreno 512 GPU and UFS 2.1 but will be made using 14nm node.
