While the successor to the Sony Xperia 1 is expected to arrive at IFA 2019, it seems you don’t have to wait anymore if you’re wondering how the device looks. Thanks to official-looking renders, we pretty much have a good idea of the design and some the specs of the Xperia 2.

Sony Xperia 2 Full Renders Revealed

Based on the renders, the Xperia 2 will come in navy blue, deep magenta, and black colors. Starting on the back, the device features three main cameras. This could mean the same, if not improved, 12MP main, telephoto and ultrawide sensors. However, the position is on the top-right corner. Upfront are the relatively thick bezels, à la Pixel 4 XL. Unlike Google’s upcoming flagship handset, the Xperia 2 has a tall 6.1″ 21:9 display. Although unsure, there’s a chance it will retain its predecessor’s 4K resolution.

Down on the bottom are a speaker grille, USB Type-C port, and microphone. While on the top is another microphone (again, RIP jack). On the left portion is the SIM card tray and on the right portion are the power key, volume rocker, camera shutter button, and capacitive fingerprint scanner. Which also means Sony won’t be utilizing under-screen fingerprint technology. As for the rest of the specs, we expect it to come with Snapdragon 855, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. We should know more of the rest once IFA 2019 kicks off.
