Samsung has finally answered all speculations when they released their latest flagship mid-August dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It is packed with high-end specifications, but its S-Pen stood out as it has a Bluetooth technology. On the other hand, Sony Xperia XZ3 just recently announced and it runs with the latest Android 9.0 Pie.

Sony Xperia XZ3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 similarities

The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a 6.0-inch OLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9 while Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2960 and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Both are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a dimension measurement of 158 x 73 x 9.9 mm weighing 193 grams while Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is a bit bigger with 161.9 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm that weighs 201 grams.

Under the hood, both devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has another variant that is powered by Exynos 9810 Octa with Mali-G72 MP18 GPU. It carries two memory configurations of 6GB of RAM + 128GB and 8GB of RAM + 512GB storage while Sony Xperia XZ3 carries 4GB of RAM + 64GB internal storage.

Going to the camera department, the Sony Xperia XZ3 sports a 19MP camera with f/2.0 aperture paired with a 13MP front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes with a dual 12MP + 12MP rear camera with a f/1.5-2.4 aperture on the primary lens and f/2.4 for the secondary that is paired with an 8MP selfie snapper with f/2.4 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is fueled with a bigger 4,000 mAh battery capacity and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo whereas Sony Xperia XZ3 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie packed with 3,300 mAh battery capacity.
