Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is officially launched and will be market-ready by November (no official price yet). The Xperia Z5 Premium breaks a world record today by being first to squeeze a 4k (3840×2160 pixels) in a 5.5-inch display producing a whooping 804ppi. Another big upgrade in Z5 Premium from Sony Xperia Z3+ is the new 23MP camera measuring 1/2.3″ in size paired with f/2.0 lens. The camera can focus for just 0.03 seconds in still and 4K movie mode.
Front-facing camera is now up to 5MP with super wide angle of 25mm and capable of shooting 1080p video.
Sony went with stainless steel frame in Xperia Z5 Premium. The power button went flat and now works as a fingerprint sensor too. The IP68/65 water and dust proof rugged features are still present enabling you to submerge your phone up to 1.5m deep underwater.
Internal specs of the Z5 Premium includes a Snapdragon 810 octacore chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal expandable up to 200GB microSD card.
You should not worry for the battery life of Sony Xperia Z5 Premium as it has a rated battery life of 2 days. Thanks to the beefy 3700mAh non-removable battery inside.
Official price is yet to be disclosed but Sony has promised that the Xperia Z5 Premium will become available in November.
