Top Smartphones to Buy with Helio P70 AI Gaming Chipset

Realme 3 vs Huawei Mate 20 Pro Review

Although not as dominant as Qualcomm counterpart, MediaTek’s Helio P70 SoC is a popular alternative for cheaper smartphones. Introduced last October (officially arrived in November), Helio P70 is a mid-range octa-core chipset offering four 2.1GHz performance and four 2.0GHz efficiency cores. It comes with a built-in Mali-G72 MP3 GPU that goes up to 900MHz. Delivering smooth gaming performance is its goal under its category thru the use of AI — reducing jitters and improving latency.

OPPO F11 / F11 Pro

The OPPO F11 Series is currently one of the best-selling smartphone series in the Philippines. Thanks to its large fullscreen display, a 16MP pop-up camera, a massive 48MP dual main camera, along with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging for its 4000mAh battery — it’s a sweet deal that starts at P15,990. As for gaming, there’s the Game Space app that boosts resources solely for games.

Vivo 15

Alongside OPPO is its sister company, Vivo. In the same “duo” manner is the Vivo V15 Series. However, only the non-pro model comes with Helio P70. Starting at P17,999, you’re provided with a 32MP selfie camera, Ultra FullView display, triple-rear cameras, and a generous battery with proprietary fast charging tech. There’s also a dedicated app for gaming called Game Cube. It blocks notifications and allocates network and performance resources for gaming.

Realme U1

Acting as a sub-brand of OPPO, Realme U1 was released 6 months ago. It’s one of the first devices to sport the Helio P70 chipset. It might not be on par with other phones from this list, but it still carries the same SoC with an FHD+ display. It’s a good choice for those who’re looking for a bargain.

OPPO A9 is the latest phone from the company. It comes with slightly upgraded specs from the A7, but the design gets a significant improvement. This might not be as enticing as the F11 due to its 16MP cameras, but it does offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB expandable storage already.
