Vivo has launched the Y83 today in China. Prior to its launch, the smartphone appeared on a TENAA listing. It didn’t mention its exact chipset but it said it clocked to 2.0 GHZ. On the launch, the device’s chipset was finally revealed.
The Vivo Y83 features a 6.22″ notched display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 and an aspect ratio of 19:9. For a mid-range phone, its bezels are narrow. The smartphone is powered by the Helio P22 with an octa-core processor and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It contains 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB which is expandable to 256GB via a microSD card. The Y83 is fueled by a 3,260mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The device’s camera setup includes a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front camera along with AI Beauty features. The Vivo Y83 arrived in the colors – Black, Aurora White, and Red. Its priced at 1,489 Yuan (approx. Php 12,263).
