According to the latest leak, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 may include wireless charging as well as an iris scanner. Along with this features, the model will also have a  7” tall screen, 5500 mAh battery, and dual cameras according to CNMO, a Chinese blog.

The information was found by XDA Developers when they inspected the strings part of the firmware code of the MIUI Keyguard APK. Upon checking the code, they were able to see some lines revealing that the phone will include “Wireless Charging” as well as show if the charging has stopped and if the placement is wrong. Another feature that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 may have is an iris sensor which was seen in a configuration file when the developers were figuring out which image sensors will be used in the model. According to the XDA Developers, the auxiliary module mentioned is the OmniVision 2281 which leverages a 1.12-micron pixel with PureCel technology to enable accurate, reliable iris recognition for smartphones, tablets, and notebooks. Although there is evidence that an iris sensor is being developed, it is still not certain if it will be officially included in the final model.
