Design and Display
Moving on, both the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Doogee Mix 2 sports a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED FullHD+ with 2160 x 1080 resolution. However, it is still unclear whether the Mix 2 will have an AMOLED or LCD screen. The Mix 2 has an all-metal unibody design while the Mi Mix has a ceramic body.
Hardware
Since the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 houses the latest Snapdragon 835, it clearly holds the upper hand in terms of processor. On the other hand, the Doogee Mix 2 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 processor. Both utilize 6GB RAM/64GB of ROM but the Mi Mix 2 has an 8GB RAM version.
Cameras
Up front, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 only has a 5MP shooter as the Doogee Mix 2 boasts a dual 8MP+8MP setup. Not only that but the Mix 2 has a 130 wide angle for group selfies. You can check out some of the Mi Mix 2’s sample camera shots here. At the back, both the phablets boast f/2.0 aperture. While the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has a 12MP with an IMX386 sensor and 4-axis OIS, the Doogee Mix 2 brags a dual setup of 16MP+13MP with 2x Zoom.
Other features
The Doogee Mix 2 is powered by a 4,060mAh battery while the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 only has 3,400mAh. Nonetheless, the Mi Mix 2 and the Doogee 2 both include a USB Type C port but no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Bottomline, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is for performance-based users while the Doogee Mix 2 is for camera enthusiasts. Yet, we’ll have to wait for camera samples from the Mix 2, of course. Nonetheless, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is priced at P25,000 while the Dooge Mix 2 retails for P15,700 SRP.
Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated on both the beast phablet’s Philippine pricing and release!
