The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is a smaller phone that features 5-inch IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and 720 x 1280 screen resolution while the Redmi 6A houses a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display with 18:9 ratio and 720 x 1440 pixel resolution.The Redmi 5A’s dimension measures 140.4 x 70.1 x 8.4 mm weighing 137g, on the other hand, the newer version measures 147.5 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm, and weighs 145 g.
Under the hood, the Redmi 5A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, while the Redmi 6A receives power from Mediatek Helio A22. Both carry the same 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, which is also expandable up to 250GB via microSD.
Going to the camera department, both smartphones sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. For taking selfies, though both handsets carry the same 5MP front snapper, the 5A’s selfie camera has an aperture of f/2.0, while the 6A with f/2.2 aperture.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5A retails for Php 4, 590, while the Redmi 6A arrived with a price tag of 599 Yuan, which is approx. PHP 4,958 when directly converted.
