Xiaomi has officially confirmed that they will be launching the Xiaomi Redmi 6 series on June 12. The confirmation came in the form of an official poster posted on the company’s Weibo page.

The poster specifies that the Xiaomi Redmi 6 will be launching on June 12. However, it didn’t mention if it will launch the other smartphones of the Redmi 6 series at the same date. Rumors state that the along with the Redmi 6, the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro/Plus might launch too.
Prior to this announcement, a listing that was thought to be the Xiaomi Redmi 6 was spotted on TENAA. It was mentioned there that the smartphone will feature a 5.84″ FHD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device was speculated to be powered by the Snapdragon 625 clocked up to 2.0GHz. As for its storage, the Redmi 6 might arrive in three variants – 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM. The smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be fueled by a 3,900mAh battery pack.
