Xiaomi posted an S graphic today at a Chinese microblogging website Weibo which could mean that there’s a new series upcoming soon.
There’s no information revealed aside from the S image posted, however, we’ve been hearing rumors saying that Xiaomi is working on a product that could be related to Surge S2 SoC or the Redmi S2 smartphone.
A few days ago, a leaked video from Czech Republic website shows the upcoming Redmi S2. And it is said that Xiaomi has entered a new market in Europe.
Redmi S2 is expected to come with a 5.99-inch display with 1440 x 720 screen resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 along with 3GB of RAM and 32Gb of internal storage.
For the optics, it is speculated to equip a dual rear cameras 12MP + 5MP lenses and 16MP for the front along with an LED flash. It is packed with 3,080mAh battery capacity and will run MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo OS.
It is also reported that Xiaomi is working on Surge S2’s launch and should be on par with Huawei’s Kirin 960 according to rumors which are found on Huawei P10 and Mate 9 series.
