YouTube adds fast-forward and rewind functions

Finally! YouTube (mobile app) users can now double-tap to fast-forward and rewind while watching a video.

YouTube is one of the most popular online video sharing application to date. Registered users can upload any video leaving the world to watch whatever original content they so choose.

Oddly enough, a fast-forward or rewind function has evaded the next-on-list-to-add into app from developers from the 11 year-old website.

The media hungry have to result to dragging the tiny dot on the play-bar indicating where you want to go next or how far back you want to rewind via guesstimate.

Unofficially announced, the double-tap feature works as an alternative to the tedious point-and-drag function.

While watching a video, we accidentally discovered that when you double-tap on the right side of the player, it will fast-forward the video to ten seconds. Continuous tapping will add another ten seconds and so on.

To rewind, just simply repeat the process on the other side of the player recommended you read.

If you want to try the nifty feature, simply download or update to the latest version of YouTube.

Since YouTube or Google has yet to provide an official announcement, not all users might get the feature or know that the function has been hiding in plain sight.

So what do you think of this news? Do you find the new function useful? Let us know and share your thoughts in the comment section.
