MicroFiber made towels or cloths are often the go-to wipers for a phone’s display. Unlike, paper tissue, these things gladly wipe away the dirt and specs as gently as possible, minimizing any pressure needed to exert, as well as possible scratches and damages on the screen. Scotch Tape is a pretty good alternative

Apparently, alcohol-based substances affect your phone’s protective coating, which could pretty much make things worst for wear. However, by searching the internet, there are solvents and substances that are said to effectively remove stains in you phone’s display, which means, make sure that you’re using the approved substances before you go for broke.
Paper-based wipes may affect your phone’s touchscreen response capability
Don’t use any paper-made material to wipe over your phone’s display. It sometimes affects and disrupts your phone’s touchscreen capability, making in inaccurate or worse, simply break the responsive feature of your phone. Just try to stick to MicroFiber if you can.
