But don’t you worry as we’re here to give you other options to get to your destination. Here are 5 alternative ride-booking apps that you can use in the Philippines:

Angkas

Need to get to your destination fast? Then Angkas is the right app for you. Angkas provides motorcycles as taxi services. Fares start at P50 for the first 2km and P10 for every succeeding km. Prices may vary based on demand.

Note: Fees are paid directly to the biker and not Angkas.

Sakay.PH

Sakay.ph is a web service and app that helps people use jeepneys, buses, and trains in Metro Manila. It’s like Google Maps or Waze, but for commuting. The app shows how many minutes it would take if you would walk to your destination. Along with instructions via walking, the app also shows ALL available routes if you would take an LRT, UV, jeepney or bus.

Note: As per Sakay.ph, since texting is still the backbone of most mobile users’ lives, the company is polishing SMS service and will be releasing it soon. Stay tuned.

U-Hop

U-Hop  allows commuters to ride in a shuttle service/UV Express. They also offer rides in sedans. There are also offers for unlimited rides at the cost of Php 1,400 weekly and Php 3,990 monthly. They are offering an unlimited trip anywhere around Metro Manila for PHP 99.

For a monthly membership of P3,999, passengers are given access to 40 prioritized rides anytime and anywhere around Metro Manila, although they can still use the service free-of-charge after exceeding. Ride credits are also transferrable and unused credits are stored.

MiCab

MiCab is the only taxi booking app in the Philippines that is available in 5 key cities; Cebu, Bacolod, Baguio, Iloilo and Metro Manila. MiCab app offers easy and fast way to get a cab. As per the company, MiCab has over 10,000 cabs all over the country, commuters’ request for a MiCab ride will arrive in minutes.

Wunder

Wunder aims to promote sharing with other people. Commuters will be matched for drivers going the same route. With that, the car owner and the passenger/s could share the cost of fuel. Wunder can mostly much cheaper having the price of around PHP 60 for a 15-kilometer ride compared to Grab. In short, the travel cost depends on the distance traveled.
