Galaxy Tab S2 review philippines (1 of 1)-7

Tablets have been with us for quite sometime now, not as long as smartphones have, but still pretty long. Though, recently we’ve been observing that tabs are loosing over its control of its own market and we might see a day, that tablets will just be a thing of the past. Read further to know the reasons why tablets aren’t a practical buy anymore.

Phablet variety/portfolio are increasing

Truth be told, phablets aren’t for everyone, some may prefer a classic tab over a latest phablet, for personal reasons, but we can’t hide the fact that the phablet industry is expanding, and its expanding fast. This is the truth, and many might still prefer the old fashioned tab over these bad boys, however, i think it won’t take that much time, until the phablet industry wins over the tablet’s market. Streams and streams of phablet-based branded smartphones enter the market everyday, and there might come a day, that the tablet industry will be engulfed by the massive industry of the phablets, since phablets are technically a combination of both tablet and smartphone, which to some of the tablet’s remaining market, show enough reason for them to transition over to the phablet market.

Rise of the convertible, full-pledged PCs

It seems that the phablet industry isn’t the only threat on the tablet industry’s way, but rather, evolution could rather be something that can fatally wound the tablet industry. The rise of the convertible PC’s, such as Microsoft’s Surface Pro series are threatening to take out the tablet industry. Everyday, we are presented by many convertible PC evolutions from Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3, which has innovated its industry to its fullest. This threat to the tablet industry might come from any direction, in which sooner or later, it’ll get to the tablet industry and take it down.

iOS and Android for tablet OS has limited functionalities

The tablet series has a lot of competition in its way, however, to tell you the truth, the thing that could most likely take out the tablet industry, might come from within. The tablet industry is facing another threat that is quite close to home, and that enemy is within itself. The industry’s limited operating system functionalities is quite taking its toll on the industry. iOS and Android OS’s just couldn’t deliver anything more for the tablets, so particular, new upcoming tabs had to sway their improvements on display and design, rather than in system, which isn’t necessarily a bad call, though, we personally think that impact could have been more seen when tablets has their own specifically-based systems, which, in the near future should be a possibility

The introduction of compact PC’s carrying Windows Continuum

If you aren’t already familiar with the Windows Continuum, then, i suggest you should acquaint yourself with it, because its highly gonna be something that’ll frequently be used. Windows Continuum is a system by Microsoft, that enables system adaptability in a phone-to-monitor spectrum. Unlike Androids adaptability measures for monitors, who’ll adapt the phones exact viewpoint seen on the device, the Windows Continuum offers a transition of view, from the device’s mobile view changing over to a desktop viewpoint once connected to a monitor. This serves as an indirect threat to the tablet industry, since the tabs were mainly in charge of delivering a broader spectrum of information in business meetings and group discussions, and with the compact-like feeling of the Windows Continuum (since it only needs one device and a phone, and you’ll be granted the pleasure of full – desktop functionality) will majorly play to the slow decline of tablet intent.

Laptops and Ultrabooks are getting more compact and light

Laptops have been around way longer than the tablet industry, though, the thing that swayed some laptop users to use tablets is the tablet’s more easy to carry compact feature, which is pretty quite obvious. However, with new compact and light laptops and Ultrabooks, slowly being introduced in the market, its a no brainer that the laptops might regained their throne in that particular category, which obviously would mean that tablets could be erased from the market.

Conclusion

This is merely a perspective that we had here at manilashaker. This doesn’t necessarily cover for all aspects of possible threats to the tablet industry. Hopefully though, we see more innovative tablets in the following years, which would convince us, that tablets are still actually worth the buy.
