Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Might Introduce Under-Screen Selfie Camera First
According to Samsung Insider, Ice Universe on Twitter, the South Korean company will launch the Galaxy Fold 2, codenamed “Champ”, with “Under Display Camera”. Furthermore, it’s already coming this July. If the information is accurate, then Samsung might be the first company to introduce an under-display selfie camera technology. We can finally bid goodbye to ugly notches, punch-holes, and all kinds of holes.
Both Xiaomi and OPPO have revealed their respective under-screen camera technologies last year. It was in June 2019. This type of innovation is usually reserved for concept phones, like Vivo NEX, Find X, and Vivo APEX. While the two Chinese companies created a buzz at that time, nothing materialized since then. But if Samsung will release its technology first, then we can expect 2020 to be the year of fullscreen displays with under-screen selfie cameras.Â
