HTC’s upcoming new handset, the HTC 10 is spilling in a lot of teasers. HTC is quite determined to make the HTC 10 successful and for a huge reason. With that, we figured to highlight the handset and dish out five things that you might not know on the HTC 10.

Drops the “one” model name

HTC’s One lineup has been part of the company’s image and branding as a whole. Originally, the HTC 10 is named as the HTC One M10 in accordance to the One lineup but eventually dropped the “One” name. It seems that HTC wanted to start anew with the HTC 10.

Expected to be released on April 12th

HTC is quite active in marketing and fully introducing the HTC 10, through various mediums and ways, which is quite admirable on their part. However, despite the huge efforts in marketing, it seems that its things will all come down on April 12th, as HTC claimed that the HTC 10 will be fully unveiled on the given date. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for it.

Luckily for the HTC 10, the Snapdragon 820 is no push-over chip, it is highly-raveled as one of the fastest chips in the market today and leads the whole pack, according to AnTuTu. Truly, when everything is said and done, the HTC 10 should be able to deliver in the performance category.

Possibly HTC’s last “hoorah”

HTC as a company isn’t exactly doing good in the smartphone business, with various problems on sales bringing the company down. That’s why the HTC 10 could be the company’s last “hoorah” or their “saving grace”. Whatever’s the case, the company is in need of some miracle.

A late black version in the works

The HTC 10 is fully aluminum built and packs a pretty standard-looking design. However, right now the HTC 10 itself lacks diversity since it has one design. Nevertheless,  a black version is in the works, which should add up a few options for possible buyers.

  1. Wait a minute, so you’re saying you can actually buy an HTC unit here in the Philippines?! Great!! But how? The company pulled out already. Will there be dealers carrying the phone?
