It is confirmed! Lurking on Instagram stories and taking a screenshot won’t alert its user anymore. Instagram confirmed that after months of testing the feature, they finally decided to kill it.

Before, Instagram announced that they are testing the feature that made us all worry and gives us mini heart attacks. It is somehow a good news for those who want to know if someone is creeping on them and a bad news as well for those who like to creep onto people. Activating this will just be like another Snapchat platform, but now that it officially ended, the pop-up notification that someone took a screenshot won’t be appearing anymore.
Other than that, the only feature that will let you know if someone is lurking in your stories is by swiping up to see the list of people watched.
