LG G6 FullVision display and mobile UX 6.0

Little by little, LG continues to tease its customers with the upcoming G6 revelation at the Mobile World Congress conference. Through a press release, the South Korean company shares what the LG G6 FullVision can do together with the UX 6.0.

Believing that they are entering a “new era of premium smartphones”, LG G6 FullVision or technically, a 5.7-inch QHD+ (2880 x 1440) with a unique 18:9 aspect ratio, claims to offer “ultimate user convenience and productivity”.

LG said that the new mobile UX 6.0 “maximizes” the benefits of the FullVision display such as:

  1. Differentiated Experience
  2. Enhanced Camera UX; and
  3. Advanced Multi-tasking

Differentiated Experience

The LG G6 maximizes the screen to the top and bottom portion of the front panel – allowing to view more information and providing more immersive experience when watching videos and playing games.

Even with the 18:9 aspect ratio, native 16:9 content are still viewable – as one of the features of the G6.

The expanse of the screen lets the user take a photo on the left screen and review it on the right screen – a feature called Square Camera.

Users are also allowed to shoot images in 1×1 format, making it perfect for Instagram, Facebook and such.

The new mode called Food Mode recreates a “high color quality” and “saturated” photo – to make it post-worthy on your social media accounts.

Finally, creating GIFs are already possible from 2 and 100 pictures in loop.

Advanced Multi-tasking

Users can take advantage of the Android Nougat’s multi-tasking feature through UX 6.0 ability to display a calendar app horizontally – showing the calendar on the left side and a detailed schedule on the other side.

This is only one of the several multi-tasking activities that you can do via UX 6.0. Additionally, the user can create a Collage Wallpaper for the lock screen.

“The LG G6 with FullVision was inspired by the philosophy of experts in the movie industry who believe that an 18:9 ratio screen would be the best solution for viewing both old and new cinematic content in the digital age,” said Juno Cho, president of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
