The Department of Information and Communications Technology acting Secretary Eliseo Rio Jr. expects that Mislatel as 3rd telco provider in the Philippines could have its first subscribers by early as October this year once the commercial operation has started.
He also told the media that Mislatel Consortium (composed of Udenna Corp., China Telecom, and Chelsea Logistics) has already started building their infrastructures in major cities. With a testing phase to follow after establishing these cell sites and other equipment, Mislatel could accommodate customers from enterprises in Metro Manila and major cities.
Despite the short delay in giving the clearance for Mislatel from NTC, the 3rd major telco is still firm on providing a better service against Globe and Smart-PLDT especially in terms of speed and reliability on its first full year of operation.
