We are about less than two weeks away from the official announcement of OnePlus’ next flagship phone. That said, it’s been a common thing for specs and renders to leak as is the OnePlus 7 Pro, this time, in Nebula Blue and Mirror Gray colors. Based on the high-quality images, it’s looking pretty good.
The company is known for black-clad phones. Just last year, it introduced a Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T — in translucent purple and (as you might have guessed it) black. This year, it seems like it has veered away from the boring black slabs. Instead, we see a blue variant akin to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Ocean Blue, except a bit flashier. Other than colors, the usual button placements are also seen — the alert slider and power button on the right, and the volume rocker on the left.
One of the radical changes as noticed on the OnePlus 7 Pro renders is the fullscreen display combined with curved edges. In other words, it should feel similar to the Huawei P30 Pro and Galaxy S10+ when held in hand. However, using the display should provide a smoother feel of animations due to an all-new 90Hz AMOLED panel. Taking selfies will be an all-new experience, too, being a pop-up selfie camera. Last but not least, a vertical triple camera array is confirmed on the back — featuring a 48MP main with 3x zoom and ultra wide lens.
Unlike previous OnePlus flagship phones, the OnePlus 7 Pro is confirmed by its CEO to be more expensive than its typical pricing. Based on earlier leaks, the starting variant (6GB/128GB) could start at $700(~P36,200), with the 8GB/256GB setting you back at $750(~P38,800), up to $820(~P42,400) for the top model (12GB/256GB).
