SMC-Telstra Telcos Partnership is Confirmed a No-Go

San Miguel Corporation and Telstra are finally calling it quits on the Telstra-SMC telcos partnership, though SMC themselves aren’t quitting on the industry itself. It is said that both parties tried their best to come up with an acceptable solution to some issues pertained in the partnership, but couldn’t seem to find any reasonable resolution.

Despite the absence of the Australian telcos company, it seems that SMC is determined to follow-up with the plan “as scheduled” with wireless services nearing its completion across Metro Manila and some provinces across NCR. SMC clearly looks their entry in the industry as a way to “tip the scales” in favour of the people, with the aim of letting the consumers benefit the most in the overall endeavours.

SMC is also considering joint ventures with other telco companies around the archipelago, with the aim to give the PH market an effective telco service and overall experience.
