Screen Resolutions

There are many types of screen resolutions, all depending on the hardware that is set on their phones. One particular example is the relatively small qHD (quarter HD) display that has a 960×540 pixel resolution setting. This particular resolution was the norm back then and is considered as the standard mobile phone display resolution. However as time goes by various innovations and improvements have been developed, such as the 1080 FHD displays and eventually 1440p QHD displays.

Just recently, Sony’s Xperia Z5 Premium redefined the display category with the introduction of 4K UHD displays. However, despite this improvements, many have yet to know that our eye can only distinguish 326 pixels per inch, which means our ability to see any difference in quality from QHD to UHD is fairly low and would we’ll likely to be tricked that a QHD display would look like UHD, though that is not the case.

5-inch smartphones are the standard screen size of today’s smartphones, so we might be a bit concerned about the display quality that some phones dish out. 5-inch smartphones have different types of display resolution, which solely depends on the manufacturer, the phone’s hardware and overall system capability. For a solid 5-inch phone, the resolution that suits it best is around 720p HD until 1080p FHD display resolution.

We’ve gotten our hands on various 5-inchers in the past and seeing them at HD or FHD is usually enough to give way on a better display output all-in-all. Some may argue that you should go for a higher QHD display on 5-inchers but to be honest, it’ll be troublesome for smartphone users to go all-out on the display especially for a 5-inch handset. The quality of FHD and HD are entirely enough from our point-of-view and the quality it will bring should really satisfy any user or at least, those who are into very standard display quality and performance.
