It was recently reported that the Vivo NEX will officially launch on June 12. With just a week left before the launch, the smartphone’s key specs were leaked by a Chinese tipster who posted some photos of promotional materials.

The Vivo NEX was originally speculated to be a variant of the Vivo APEX but without the pop-up camera. On the other hand, other rumors state that the Vivo NEX might be the commercial version of the Vivo APEX which is also scheduled to launch on June 12 in China, meaning it’s the same phone but with a different name. In this recent leak, it reveals that the Vivo NEX share a lot of similarities with the Vivo APEX although the two also have some differences so we can’t say that it’s the same phone.

VIVO NEX KEY SPECS

According to the photos, the Vivo NEX will feature a 6.59″ display which is larger than Vivo APEX’s 5.99″ display. In addition, the Vivo NEX will have 6GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128GB. It will be fueled by a 4,000mAh battery as well. As for its chipset, it doesn’t mention anything but there’s a high possibility that the upgraded variant of the smartphone might be powered by the Snapdragon 845.

VIVO NEX BLUE DESIGN

An image was also posted showing the blue-colored variant of the Vivo NEX so it gives an idea on what the phone’s design would look like. As seen in the photo, the device has an almost bezel-less display as well as shows that it will sport an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The pop-up camera can also be seen at the top of the phone and there is a vertically-aligned dual rear camera at the back.

The price of the device will depend on its variants. The Vivo NEX powered by the Snapdragon 710 is expected to have a price of around $800 (approx. PHP 41,910) whereas the Snapdragon 845 variant might be priced around $1,000 (approx. PHP 52,388).
