Huawei keeps on surprising us. Just when you thought the P-series will just be the P20 and P20 Pro, but then mid-range version showed up. P20 Lite wasn’t introduced together with its bigger brothers at Paris launch of Huawei.

What’s inside the box?
Opening the box, on the top is, of course, the phone covered with plastic. The next layer is the user guides and underneath are the type-c charging cable, adapter, and earphones. I’m actually surprised Huawei didn’t include a clear case on the phone.
This handset indeed is in line with smartphones with premium design, with glass front and back, metal frame and curved edges. Also, includes the famous notch and all screen makes it super modern.
Its glass back panel makes subtle fingerprints and smudges visible upon holding it. The side has a volume rocker, a power button and at the bottom a type C reversible connector, 2.5 audio port, and speaker grille.
Another thing I liked about the designs of P20 series is the alignment of the texts at the back to the vertical camera. It gives a satisfying feeling.
Huawei P20 Lite sports a 5.84-inches HUAWEI FullView with the resolution of 2280 x 1080 FHD+. The screen is sharp and vibrant and is okay with outdoors. This all screen beauty also joined the iPhone X-style notch trend but luckily for those who are not into the notch, provided an option to hide it.
This is a good thing that Huawei hears its consumers with notch issues.
Huawei P20 Lite is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659 that runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Though it is lightweight, it is packed with 3000mAh battery which is not that bad for a decent gaming and multitasking apps which can bring you through the day.
Aside from that, P20 Lite also has cool features, some of these are smart lock screen notifications, two Bluetooth devices at once and a face unlock ID.
|Rear Camera||Dual: 16MP + 2MP f/2.2|
|Front Camera||16MP f/2.0|
I was surprised when I used the camera, the color accuracy and the selfie results are impressive for a mid-range phone. It is equipped with a dual rear cam with 16-megapixels and 2-megapixels f/2.2 for aperture and 16-megapixels for the front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Here are some of the sample shots
Though it’s still not confirmed, it might arrive with a PHP 17,990 price tag. What do you think of this new Huawei smartphone? Comment down below what you think! And oh, stay tuned for our full review and some comparisons!
