If you were waiting for Samsung Galaxy Fold to arrive in the Philippines (yeah, right), the company has launched the phone locally with an official price of P109,990. For what it’s worth, you’re getting a slim leather cover, a Galaxy Buds, a year of Samsung Care Plus insurance warranty, and Samsung’s Concierge VIP customer care service with a dedicate hotline because folding phones in 2019 are delicate and fragile.
During the first launch of Samsung Galaxy Fold, the units shared with the press met with some issues. Screens were getting broken due to lint and dust and the protective layer that wasn’t supposed to be removed was thought to be a removable plastic cover. After recalling the devices and coming up with ways to fix the Galaxy Fold, the second launch seems to be doing just fine. The hinge now comes with plastic caps to prevent dust from accumulating and the protective film is extended to the innards of the body.
