The Vivo Y83 has dimension measurements of 155.2 x 75.2 x 7.7 mm weighing 150 grams while the Redmi 6 is quite smaller with 147.5 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm weighing 146 grams.
Under the hood, both handsets share the same chipset, GPU, and operating system. Which means they almost have the same smartphone prowess with MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 with PowerVR GE8320 GPU that runs Android 8.1 (Oreo). The Xiaomi Redmi 6 carries 3 GB RAM + 32GB storage / 4GB RAM + 64GB RAM storage while Vivo Y83 has 4GB RAM + 32GB storage/ 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. Almost the same but Redmi 6 has more RAm variants.
Going to the camera department, Xiaomi Redmi 6 is equipped with dual 12 MP + 5 MP camera. Both lenses have the same f/2.2 aperture. While Redmi 6 sports a dual camera, the Vivo Y83 features a 13-megapixel with a f/2.2 aperture. As for the selfie camera, Vivo Y83 has higher megapixel with an 8 as compared with 5-megapixel with Xiaomi Redmi 6.
