Display and Design: S8 vs S8+ vs Note 8
Compared to the 5.8-inch or 6.2-inch Quad HD AMOLED display of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, respectively, the Note 8 packs a massive 6.3-inch display. Which is a few hairline wider than the S8 Plus. However, the big difference seen in the leaked image is the Edgy display than the curvier displays of its siblings.
The fingerprint sensor location on the Note 8 is also better positioned as the fingerprint sensor in the S8 is located really close to the camera. Yet, the sensor on the Note 8 is placed beside the phablet’s LED flash and camera sensor.
Speaking of the camera, one of the highly expected features from the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is its dual camera setup. As a first from Samsung, the Note 8 is equipped with a rear camera of 12/13MP with a front snapper of 8MP. Meanwhile, the S8 features a rear 12MP camera paired with an 8MP front camera shooter.
Note 8 S Pen and Hardware Specs
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was rumored to be powered by either the upcoming Snapdragon 836 processor or the Exynos chipset with new 4G LTE modem. The Note 8 is coupled with 6GB RAM/64GB ROM while the S8 has 4GB RAM/64GB ROM built-in storage. Regarding battery juice, the Note 8 sports 3,300mAh, which is a bit smaller compared to the S8 Plus’ 3,500. But given the more efficient processor, the former will likely yield the same battery life.
Accessories launched along the Samsung Galaxy S8 duo are the Gear 360 and Samsung DeX Station. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy Note 8 will come with an improved S Pen for better productivity, which the standalone Galaxy S8 lacks.
